Metal bending
The service of bending metal sheets is relevant for manufacturing and construction organizations, private developers and administrative and public utilities. According to customer orders, we work with materials of various thicknesses and sizes. Modern metalworking equipment allows us to preserve the original structure of the metal during the bending process, avoid internal and external deformations. Features of bending metal sheets
Bending operations with sheet metal are used to manufacture high-strength seamless products. The technology allows you to form the required angles of inclination and not use welded joints in the metal structure.
Advantages of custom sheet metal bending:
- Possibility of obtaining specified shapes. Modern bending equipment is capable of bending metals at different angles and forming building structures with minimal deflections of the main beams.
- No errors. With the help of digital automation, operators set precise parameters and receive a product without geometric errors.
- High production profitability. Custom sheet metal bending allows you to significantly reduce the cost of finished products.
- Increased strength. Due to the absence of welded seams, the monolithic structure is preserved, strength is increased.
- Processing of any type of metal. Bending is used for blanks of different fluidity made of steel, copper, brass.
Sheet bending equipment
Bending of metal sheets up to 10 mm thick is actively used in the production of bent angles, channels and other products to increase the rigidity of structures. The work is carried out on special equipment – hydraulic presses or rollers. Both methods ensure the preservation of the metal structure at the bending points during processing.
The operating principle of the press is to place a metal strip on the lower table with a matrix and apply pressure from above. Punches approach the sheet, which are affected by the pistons of the cylinders of the upper table. As the sheet and punch come closer, the pressure force increases, which first leads to elastic deformation, then to plastic deformation of the workpiece. The dimensions of the metal layers along the bending axis remain unchanged. Hydraulic presses can bend metal sheets up to 6 m long.
The roller method consists of passing the sheet through rollers with a gradual shift with each pass. This technology allows you to create various shapes:
- conical;
- spherical;
- cylindrical;
- saddle-shaped;
- fan-shaped;
- wave-shaped;
- box-shaped;
- sail-shaped;
- combined.
Profile bending machines are equipped with rollers of different contours, which determine the profile shapes. Three-roll rollers are used to work with sheet steel up to 50 mm thick. The principle of the roller arrangement is pyramidal. A pair of lower drive rollers performs rotational movements in one direction. The upper single roller moves up and down. Friction between the workpiece and the rollers causes rotation. To extract the finished product, one of the upper bearings of the upper roller is folded to the side. The rise and fall of the upper rollers regulates the degree of bending of the metal sheet.
To produce cylindrical shapes, the ends of the workpiece are bent on a backing sheet with a width twice the distance between the two axes of the lower rollers. Then the backing sheet is removed, and the workpiece is passed through the rollers several times in both directions. How to order a service
