Riveting Parts

Embedded parts are small but very important “cogs” of construction. These steel plates with anchors are widely used to connect or reinforce building structures. They are used to secure equipment and to install lighting elements. NewMett manufactures high quality embedded parts in all sizes and shapes.
Production process of embedded parts
The reliability of the embedded part is determined by the quality of the raw materials and the exact observance of technological processes. First, the plates of the embedded parts are cut out of steel sheets, angles, strips, channels and other rolled metal products. Then holes are drilled and elements are welded. All operations are carried out on automated high-precision equipment, so the parts perfectly fit into place.
The finished embedded parts are coated with paint or other anti-corrosion compound.

They do not rust or lose strength due to weathering. NewMett embedded parts are reliable and durable.
Production of embedded parts
Products are produced by welding, which makes them reliable and durable. Various types of rolled steel are used for manufacturing. The type and required thickness of metal are calculated depending on the anticipated load and the required safety margin for a particular type of construction work.
Production stages:

  • design, calculations, material selection
  • Fabrication of blanks for embedded elements
  • welding work
  • treatment with anticorrosive compounds, painting (if necessary).

For the manufacture of embedded parts, preference is given to well-welded alloy grades. Welding is performed in a gas environment using special machines.
The choice of manufacturing material depends on the purpose of the structure, operating conditions, in particular the climate. The choice of materials is influenced by both the design features and the expected load.
Embedded parts are divided into different types:

  • Plates with straight anchors that are welded into the T-shaped part
  • Reinforced anchor elements
  • Structures with rods with bent anchors
  • Channels or angles
  • Closed-type parts with anchor rods
  • Double plates with the possibility of welding to the pipe

An important nuance is the protection of metal from corrosion, for which hot or cold galvanizing is used. The zinc coating layer is about 50 microns thick to prevent rusting of metal products under the influence of moisture. Protective treatment helps to increase the service life of buildings and structures.
Finished embedded structures must be checked for defects. If quality control reveals a defect, the product is not allowed to be used in construction and repair.
Requirements for embedded parts:

  • Edge without burrs and slag, smooth;
  • No rust spots, dirt, oil stains;
  • There are no areas with loose, poor-quality welding, fistulas, arson of the base.
